Originating as a dual-purpose
native cattle from lower Belgium, via the Durham\Shorthorn, the Belgian
Blue was recognized as a separate breed in the mid 20th Century. Although they have been in North
America for only a relatively short period of time, these heavily muscled animals are
rapidly becoming the breed of choice to beef producers, dairymen, and
health conscious consumers. Here are just a few reasons of why this
